Single Board Computer - extensive I/O functions

Tidal Engineering announced the expansion of its embedded IEEE 488 product offering to include the Olympic488. A high-performance, single-board computer loaded with I/O, memory, and communication ports, the Olympic488 is engineered to provide manufacturers of test and measurement products with flexible rapid development capabilities for demanding applications. With the addition of a precision multi-channel 24-bit SigmaDelta A/D converter, the SBC satisfies the requirements of high-accuracy instruments and systems. It supports Z-World's Dynamic CŪ Premier to offer the utmost in application flexibility, as well as the ability to create real-time applications. Further, it boasts an IEEE General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) controller to help OEMs trim development costs and speed time-to-market. The full-featured board is ideally suited for a wide range of applications where TEEE 488, RS232/RS-485 control is required, and is frequently found in varied test environments. Intended to control such devices as RF single analyzers and switching arrays, the Olympic488 is further specified for use in the control of digital voltmeters, data loggers and programmable power supplies. Powered by the Rabbit 2000 microprocessor operating at 22.12 MHz, it has EEPROM, 128K of flash memory and 128K of SRAM for program and data storage. The SBC additionally features four RS-232/485 serial ports, two onboard relays, and a battery backed Real Time Clock (RTC). Moreover, 32 digital outputs, 16 digital inputs, an eight channel 24-bit Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC), an eight channel 12-bit ADC, and two 12-bit digital-to-analog converters (DACs) are included.
