Some OEM's have a problem with the time and expense of developing an IEEE 488 interface for their product. We have solved that problem with our SBC488 family of embedded controllers. The SBC488 firmware provides a turnkey solution. These full featured single board computers have the C language built in so custom OEM and end user applications can be created quickly and easily. In addition to GPIB, these units also offer Ethernet, RS-232 and RS-485 communications as well onboard and plug-in (expansion) Analog and Digital I/O.

SBC488E Single Board Computer

The new SBC488E(thernet) features Ethernet connectivity together with a IEEE 488 / General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) controller. The new board, which packs a TCP/IP stack, is a swap-in replacement for Tidal’s legacy SBC488A as it too is fully supported by Z-World’s Dynamic C PremierTM development system, and measures the same 6.5” x 4.0” compact size.

Olympic488 SBC with Extensive I/O Including 24 BIT A/D Conversion

The Olympic 488, loaded with I/O, memory and communication ports, has a precision multi-channel 24-bit Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and boasts an IEEE General Purpose Interface Bus (GPIB) controller.

For more detailed information see the index at the bottom of this page.

ADAIOADAIO I2C Analog/Digital IO Modules

Compact and versatile, these microcontroller-based devices provide both analog input and output and employ the I2C Bus (Inter-Integrated Circuit). Compatible with Tidal’s SBC488A and SBC485A product lines, these devices provide modular analog input and output expansion. Fully isolated with optically isolated data and isolated power, these ADAIO modules are equally suitable as standalone devices in a wide range of data acquisition and measurement applications including signal measurement and process control.

ADAIO module are available in a range of resolutions and typically can be configured for full scale ranges from 1.0 VDC to 10 VDC. Standard models are listed below:
